The supermarket, which is currently being built at Anchorwood Bank, will open in November.
Asda has released details of what shoppers can expect from its new store in Barnstaple.
Construction of the store at Anchorwood Bank is ongoing, with work to be completed in time for the opening on Monday November 7.
The chain has confirmed that the Barnstaple store will feature a large George department featuring fashion and homeware.
On the food side, shoppers can expect to find a fish counter and rotisserie, as well as a bakery department with its own popcorn machine and a ‘create your own pizza’ counter.
Andy Felix, general store manager at Asda Barnstaple, said: “The new colleagues at the store and I can’t wait to open the doors and welcome shoppers when we launch on Monday November 7.
“This store has been designed so that everything Barnstaple shoppers need is easy to find under one roof, be that quality, fresh food, an essential for the home or a treat for a family member or friend.
“Our launch day is set to be full of fun and surprises and we’re excited to meet our customers for the first time.”
Last month, the Gazette reported that 240 jobs had been created as a result of the chain making its way to Anchorwood Bank.
The store, which will have a petrol station and 390 car parking spaces, will be open from 7am-11pm from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday hours of 10am-4pm.
