ENVIRONMENTAL artist Suzanne Hobbs is joining forces with North Devon's Biosphere Reserve to provide innovative workshops at this years' Education Day at GoldCoast Oceanfest on June 19.The Biosphere Reserve workshops are designed to inspire students about the future care of their fantastic local environment and enable a good understanding of why North Devon is the only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the UK. Under Suzanne's guidance, students from more than 40 North Devon schools will get the opportunity to design A4 posters calling for help to protect this unique habitat. These messages will be placed in recycled water bottles and turned into life rafts, which will be briefly launched at the end of each of the three workshops. Throughout the Goldcoast Oceanfest weekend, the rafts displaying the students' creative solutions will be on display, with the added opportunity for festival goers to attach their own messages to the mast.Oceanfest's music festival is the ideal setting to strengthen the harmony between the environment and its' communities.
