POLICE are seeking information after a 58-year-old man became the victim of two attacks on his home within three days.Curtains were set alight and paint thrown in two separate incidents of attempted arson and criminal damage in Bishops Tawton between Thursday, February 19 and Saturday 21.On Friday morning, the man woke to find a singed inner curtain of his front door of his Law Memorial Houses home. On Sunday morning, the same victim woke up to find that a tin of paint had been thrown over his front door.Police say that another of the Law Memorial Houses was targeted last September when a window was broken.PC Glyn Clark, the neighbourhood beat manager for Bishops Tawton, said: "The incident involving attempted arson could have led to more serious damage, and more importantly, endangered life as the resident was asleep inside unaware that someone had tried to set light to his property during the night."It is essential that we find the relevant offenders and all information regarding these crimes will be gratefully received."The local beat team will provide reassurance patrols but we also ask that local residents be vigilant."Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 08452 777 444 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111, quoting crime reference number CB/09/741.
