The popular three-day event will take place at Pilton Community College in June.

The annual Armed Forces Exhibition is returning to Barnstaple this year.

The three-day event, led by North Devon Veteran’s Association, will take place at Pilton Community College from Thursday June 23 to Saturday June 25.

Admission will be free to the public on the Saturday, while Thursday and Friday will see local schools experience the exhibition.

The event charts military history through a range of displays, memorabilia and live demonstrations.

Other plans for the event include performances from the Military Wives Choir, Tarka Pipes and Drums and Bideford Town Band.

Dave Gilbody, spokesman for the North Devon Veteran’s Association, said: “The exhibition is a major community and educational event for North Devon, bringing our armed forces - past and present - to the local community.

“This year’s line-up for the exhibition is already very attractive, with a greater number and variety of exhibitis, and we hope to add even more in the weeks running up to the event.”

This will be the second year that Pilton Community College hosts the event, which was previously held in Bideford.
