Families for Children is holding an open event on June 8 to try and find homes for vulnerable children
An adoption agency has appealed for more people to come forward to take on children without homes of their own.
Families for Children is holding an open information session on Thursday, June 8 at the Voice Meeting Room in Belle Meadow Court, Barnstaple.
The charitable trust would like to hear from anyone who wants to find out more about adopting a child.
Its mission is to place vulnerable children with new families right across the South West.
There are a growing number of teenagers, sibling groups and disabled children waiting for adoption, who are often harder to place.
The trust is very keen for more potential adopters to come forward as the number of children waiting for homes is ever-increasing.
The information session runs from 1-3pm and is a chance for an informal chat with staff about adoption.
