New North Devon dog searched launched as volunteers appeal for sightings of lost black spaniel

A new missing dog appeal has been launched in North Devon to help find lost spaniel Stamford.

The black cocker spaniel was being walked by his owner Dennis Fry more than a week ago on October 12 at around 7pm when he bolted at the 12th hole of Saunton golf course.

A Facebook page called Help Find Stamford has been launched and volunteers have begun searching for 'Stamps'.

The group has asked for help searching the surrounding burrows and beaches, as well as urging walkers in the Braunton, Saunton and Croyde areas to keep their an eye out.

It has been requested people do not attempt to walk on the golf course.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Stamps recently or would like to help is asked to visit the Facebook page or call 07738 128291.
