THE winner of the Love My Devon competition and new "Ambassador for Devon" has just been announced as Anne Tattersall from Torrington.Her enthusiasm for the subject of Devon and her tireless efforts campaigning to promote the county throughout the contest run by Visit Devon has earned her �10,000 and the title.Former Mayor of Torrington Anne and fellow finalists Helen Blackman of Ilfracombe plus Barney Sutton, Dick Smith and Jona Ahearne from South Devon were challenged to tour the UK, using their love of Devon to promote the county and generate more visitors.Accompanied by "Danny" the VW Beetle Anne's adventures included presenting the finding's of her survey to Lord Burnett outside the House of Lords, a photo shoot with young farmers at Westward-Ho and breaking the record for the largest cream tea.Helen Blackman, accompanied by Daisy the fibreglass cow included in her busy campaign schedule a boat trip off the Exe Estuary and up the Thames into the heart of London. And Daisy also tried skiing among other extreme sports...The three finalists all auditioned for the opportunity to join the Love My Devon campaign and had to impress a panel of judges with their passion for the county.
