Two visitors with a difference rolled up at Hele Corn Mill on Saturday to film for a new American TV show.

Two Moms and a Car will be aired on American Public Television next year, with one episode focussing on Devon and featuring the Ilfracombe attraction run by Kathy and David Jones.

Presenter Heather Campbell said the tea room and mill was a delightful spot for them to film in, sharing the camera work with her co-presenter Courtney Godfey.

Flour ground at the mill is used to bake cakes in the tearoom and Heather said: "It's fascinating to see a place use the product they create here in a separate business.

"We like to capture the overall flavour of an area - we try to focus on the culture of a region, including food, language and local products."

After touring the mill and watching it in operation, the presenters switched their attention to the tearoom and a Devon cream tea.

They asked what else was in the area, so Kathy and David took them on a tour of Ilfracombe, which included filming at the lifeboat station and birdman competition.

Kathy said: "It's great for us to be on TV and especially in America - hopefully it will encourage some American tourists to come and visit North Devon."
