Residents of Herons Lea enjoy the attentions of some cute long-necked visitors

Four cuddly friends have called in to visit residents at Herons Lea Residential Home in Abbotsham.

Sue Ashmole and Phil Alexander from Cadenza Alpacas of Torrington were making their third visit and back by popular demand.

The residents got to enjoy something which is normally inaccessible for them and to feed the alpacas carrots as well as get to meet them up close.

Sue said "It's nice for the residents to interact with the animals and enjoy them."

Home manager Linda Fletcher added: "It's very calming for people with dementia and very therapeutic for them."
