NORTH Devon and Torridge projects are continuing to benefit from money received by the county council from the sale of Exeter International Airport. In the most recent allocations from the Local Projects Fund, projects nominated by county councillors in the two districts have benefited by nearly �170,000.The fund, totalling �1.55million, was created to support smaller projects which make a significant difference to people living in towns and villages. Each county councillor was allocated a budget of �25,000. Projects that have benefited from this fund during the most recent rounds of allocations include: Cllr Hugo Barton - Littleham & Landcross Village Hall kitchen extension �5,000; Weare Gifford Village Hall improvements �5,497; surfacing of play area and installation of Trim Trail, Bideford, �1,448; Frithelstock Village Hall refurbishment �4,000.Cllr Rodney Cann - Instow gateway project �1,588; North Devon Hospice complementary therapy garden �1,230; Beechfield, Fremington, lighting for goal posts �1,500; Fremington Pill interpretation board �971; Fremington Primary School, repairs to swimming pool roof �2,350; Newton Tracey Church, Fremington lighting & heating �361. Cllr Andrea Davis - Berrynarbor Community Shop �4,750; Mortehoe speed restriction measures �2,000.Cllr Len Ford - Surfacing of play area and installation of Trim Trail, Bideford �5,000. Cllr Geoff Fowler - Ilfracombe Rugby Club floodlighting �5,000. Cllr Brian Greenslade - Museum of Barnstaple �2,500. Cllr Chris Haywood - Cleave Point footpath/cycleway �4,000; North Devon Hospice complementary therapy garden �1,000. Cllr Jenny Jenkins - Braunton BMX track �25,000. Cllr James McInnes - North Tawton Town Hall kitchen refurbishment �4,000; North Tawton lighting for Strawberry Field footpath �1,456; Spreyton village shop �544. Cllr John Rawlinson - Sports fencing for Clinton Hall �2,000; Winkleigh allotments, deer fencing �3,622. Cllr Des Shadrick - Deer Valley, Ashwater, improvements to pond �5,000; Holsworthy Community College science block �10,000; Deer Valley initiative, Ashwater pond enlargement & information board �2,100. Cllr Humphrey Temperley - Hawthorne Park Community Centre, Bideford �25,000. Cllr Joe Tucker - Northleigh Hill drainage works �3,279; Chittlehamholt Village Hall kitchen �2,000; Burrington Parish Hall �4,000; Bishops Tawton School greenhouse �500; Loxhore Village Hall extension �5,721.
