SIR - This happy band of brothers is in fact the local branch of the Aircrew Association enjoying the annual picnic at Lee House in Outer Marwood in 2007.
The weather was perfect, fine and warm, with just a slight breeze for comfort. In fact, it was so good that we are looking for new members to share our enjoyment.
Anyone, male or female, who has a flying brevet with either the Army, Navy or RAF is more than welcome, as some of the older members are prone to retirement!
If you are interested in joining us and would like to know more about our group please telephone Dennis Green on (01237) 451271 or Bill Akister on (01237) 475906."
