A man was airlifted to hospital yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon after an articulated lorry overturned in Molland.

Police and fire fighters from South Molton, Barnstaple, Middlemoor and Topsham attended the scene at Seven Acre Cross in Molland around 5.25pm.

Fire crews found the Volvo heavy goods vehicle had overturned onto its side on private land and a man was trapped inside.

They cut him from the vehicle and he was flown to hospital with chest and ankle injuries.

Police said the man’s injuries are not life-threatening or life-changning.
