Age Concern walkers go the extra mile

INTREPID walkers Geoff Goldsworthy, Keith Luckhurst and George the dog braved the threat if not the promise of monsoon showers to walk from Torrington to Barnstaple on Friday to raise money for Age concern.

They set off from the Puffing Billy at 6.30am and arrived at the Barnstaple Age Concern office in Litchdon Street five hours later, raising around 300 which will be used to support local older people retaining independent living in the community.
