There were only minor injuries, but the road was blocked causing traffic tailbacks while the vehicles awaited recovery.
This is the third time in the space of a week the road has been blocked due to a collision.
On Saturday five people were hospitalised following a serious collision near Clovelly.
And on Sunday a woman had to be cut from a car following a crash involving a trailer.
