Five people have been injured after a collision involving four vehicles on the A386 at Little America. One woman has sustained serious injuries and four other people have also suffered minor injuries. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 2.50pm, with Devon Air Ambulance also landing at the scene. Police say the road is likely to be closed for some time and motorists are asked to avoid the area. The road has been closed at Littleham and Landcross. Fire crews from Bideford and Appledore attended the scene, as well as a rescue tender from Taunton. Crews assisted paramedics at the scene and carried out two rescues of casualties from vehicles. A statement from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Upon arrival fire crews assisted on scene ambulances crews with several casualties. Fire crews carried out two snatch rescues of casualties from vehicles. "One casualty remained medically trapped and was eventually walked clear after being assessed by on scene paramedics. "Three land ambulances and one air ambulance were on scene and they conveyed all three casualties to hospital."A tweet from Stagecoach South West confirmed a number of its bus services were running with severe delays due to the accident, and are being diverted. A later tweet said services were running more than 60 minutes late. It said: "Barnstaple services 5B, 75, 75A, 75B and 85 are suffering with severe delays between Bideford and Torrington due to an RTC blocking the road near Landcross.
