A361 reopened after car and lorry overturn

A car and a lorry driver escaped injury after their vehicles overturned on the A361 between Ilfracombe and Braunton this morning. Emergency services were called to the scene near Foxhunters at around 5.15am following the incident involving an Iveco lorry

A car and a lorry driver escaped injury after their vehicles overturned on the A361 between Ilfracombe and Braunton this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Foxhunters at around 5.15am following the incident involving an Iveco lorry loaded with newspapers and a grey Renault Megane.

South Western Ambulance Service attended but no one needed to be taken to hospital and no injuries were reported.

A fire crew from Ilfracombe attended and helped to make the vehicles safe.

The road near West Down was closed until 8am, when one carriageway reopened and it was fully opened at 9.
