THREE of Bideford Rifle Club’s new shots achieved excellent results in the summer Polar Bear League with one first and two second places between them.

In his first season as a prone shooter, Alex Raymont won his division by a narrow margin. A one-point victory in Round 9 was crucial to his winning the division as he tied on first place, but took it on a better aggregate score.

Runners-up places were achieved by Seth Taylor and Gary Appleton.

Third places were gained by Paul Batten in Division 1, Adie Pile in Division 2 and Ben Morgan in Divion 15.

Bideford C - Yvonne Hoile, Keith Travis and Alex Raymont - had the best result for the club in the team competitions, with second place in Division 4, while the D team was third in Division 5.
