Louis double fires up Town
Barnstaple Reserves up to third
BARNSTAPLE Town Reserves kept the pressure on Devon & Exeter League Division One leaders East Budleigh with a 4-1 win at lowly Halwill on Saturday.
James McDonald opened the scoring in the first half before the hosts pulled level going into the break.
Louis Murrell put Town 2-1 up before team mate Kane Dryden was shown a straight red for swearing.
Despite being down to 10, Barnstaple began playing some of their best football of the match and soon made it 3-1 through Sam Box.
Murrell rounded off the scoring to secure Barum’s third league win on the spin.
Barnstaple travel to second-from-bottom Honiton Town on Saturday, while Witheridge Reserves entertain Chagford.
