Storm in a Teacup
Get on board at Watermouth with a new café offering tea, cakes, breakfasts, ice-cream and lunches, all from a lovingly restored boat.

The aptly named café has taken up residence in a 1970s River Severn rescue boat, which sits by the harbour slipway, with cosy seating for up to 12 people and a wood burner for the winter months.

Once a lesser known spot enjoyed by locals, Barricane Beach Café is now a thriving hotspot for tourists in the holidays, while locals enjoy the slightly quieter, out-of-season summer evenings.
The café serves up traditional Sri Lankan curries in the evening, with visitors able to bring their own bottle and a picnic blanket.
Bake and Brew
Sited on the Tarka Trail at Yelland, Bake and Brew is the perfect stop-off during a hike or bike ride.
Delicious bakes and hot drinks are served up from this eco-friendly trike, and visitors can sit and enjoy the stunning views over the estuary too.
Waterside Café
Another hidden gem on the Tarka Trail, this time near Braunton, is the Waterside Café, tucked in the corner of Chivenor Industrial Estate.
This beauty spot serves up delicious food with plenty of seats indoors and out, and views over the estuary. Don’t forget to say hello to the resident pooch, Eli, who can often be found basking in the sunshine.
Heartbreak Hotel
Perched on the Esplenade at Woolacombe, Heartbreak Hotel Coffee is perfect for a post-surf or swim treat.
They serve up barista coffee and fresh bakes, including dairy free options, with some beautiful views over the coastline vistas.
Café Onboard
Forget your run-of-the-mill café, take to the water and enjoy a drink or lunch on deck at Café Onboard in Bideford.
Situated at Bank End in Bideford, you can enjoy the sunshine and river views while you sip a cold drink or grab a bite to eat.
