Festive fun as town’s lights are switched on by BRIT award-winners

Thousands of people descended on Barnstaple Square this evening (Sunday) to watch BRIT award winners Blake turn on the town’s Christmas lights.

The town centre was awash with happy faces and festive fun as local acts including Yazzy and Barnstaple Youth Choir got the crowd going before the big moment.

Three-piece vocal harmony band Blake lit up the town and played a short festive set before their show at the Queen’s Theatre.

Barnstaple band One Man Boycott then kept the party going with a rocking set of their own.
