Langtree coach off to Bejing

Joseph Bulmer

LANGTREE Reunites Netball Club is saying farewell to Liz Shepherd, who has been the coach for its junior teams for the past five years.

Liz, who has also been a commited member of the club’s senior teams, has taken up a teaching post in Bejing and she and her family are moving there in the next few weeks.

The club is also celebrating the success of Morgan New, 15, a club member and a pupil at Great Torrington Sports College.

Morgan has been nominated in the young volunteer category of the Netball South West Golden Globe awards.

Morgan has been coaching Langtree Reunites High5 squad and U12s, planning and delivering their weekly training sessions. She has also recorded more than 100 hours with England Netball ‘Pass On Your Passion’ volunteering schemes and been working with staff at the Torrington Junior School to run an after school netball club.
