Job at The Plough for Gillian

Joseph Bulmer

A Torrington woman has won an all expenses and salary paid two month work placement at The Plough Arts Centre.

Gillian Saich won a competition organised by the Vodafone: World of Difference UK programme and of 11,000 entrants the communications giant chose 500, two of which are from North Devon.

Now she will spend two months working at The Plough and her specific role will be to establish and develop group bookings at the arts centre.

Along with her salary and expenses being funded by the Vodafone Foundation, The Plough will also receive funding from the Foundation.

“This is an exciting project and I will be contacting local businesses and community groups across the South West to spread the word about very special offers for group bookers,” said Gillian, who started work yesterday (Tuesday.)

“Vodafone’s funding will assist us in maximising our reach and impact by developing group bookings for all areas of the programme The Plough has to offer.”
