James May’s train attempt on TV this weekend
Star’s North Devon miniature railway stunt to be shown on Sunday night
A SECOND attempt to create a miniature railway between former stations in Barnstaple and Bideford will be screened on television this weekend.
The show, James May’s Toy Stories: The Great Train Race, will be aired on BBC2 at 8pm on Sunday night.
Top Gear presenter James May was joined by wine expert Oz Clarke in the head-to-head race with a team of German miniature railway enthusiasts for a special spin-off to the 2009 BBC2 series James May’s Toy Stories.
The star drew huge crowds when the event was filmed in April this year.
