Injury costs Raiders

North Devon Raiders rugby league team saw their chances against Exmouth on Saturday decimated by injuries and they were defeated 88-22.

They travelled with a full side to the East Devon Eagles, but were reduced to 12 men for much of the game and finished with 11.

Despite the heavy defeat, captain Sam Woolacott said there were positives to be gained from the match, with his side tackling to the end and managing to cross the line four times against the current South West champions.

This Saturday the Raiders travel to Plymouth to play the Titans in a South West Cup qualifier.

Titans were the initial big guns in the South West Division, but have struggled in recent years and currently occupy the bottom spot below the Raiders in the league. If the Raiders can muster a full strength squad, this could be their best chance of breaking their two-match winning duck this season.
