Ilfracombe lose ground

ILFRACOMBE lost ground on Devon Two leaders St Columba after they lost 20-15 at Dartmouth to slip seven points off the pace.

Jamie Matthew’s scored first for ‘Combe but the Darts hit back with tries from Luke Ridgewood and Richard Lobb and two conversions and two penalties from Aaron Hunt to open up a healthy lead at the break. Both sides traded penalties in the second half before a late try from Ilfracombe’s Dan Brierly secured them a losing bonus point.
