is inviting people in North Devon to join the conversation where they live.

THE North Devon Gazette has teamed up with, the local social network, to engage neighbourhoods in our area.

The innovative new website was first launched in Wandsworth, London, where it has quickly become a dependable source of local knowledge for thousands of people wanting to connect with others in their area.

Streetlife provides an ideal platform to exchange recommendations, skills and belongings, organise social groups and events, and discuss local issues and public services with residents, as well as council officials and police.

The website is free and easy to use and since being rolled out nationally, it is now steadily gaining momentum in North Devon, where people are also starting to share local views, practical information, advice and opinions.

Among the topics being discussed in the last week were the redevelopment of Brunswick Wharf in Bideford; wheelie bin collections in Ilfracombe; the village green in Westward Ho!; and traffic problems in Braunton.

To start and join conversations with others in your area, just visit and enter your postcode and email address.

Users can customise their settings to control how much information they receive, the areas they’re interested in, and what they share about themselves.
