The field has been narrowed from 150 to 10 – now it’s time to vote for the winner.
TEN of North Devon’s most adorable pets are within barking distance of winning a competition to be crowned cutest.
More than 150 animals – including dogs, cats, rabbits and a mouse – were entered into the North Devon Gazette competition, held in conjunction with Andy Casey Photography and the Groom Room at Pets at Home.
Some pet owners queued patiently for nearly two hours at the special studio shoot last month and Gazette readers have been busy voting for their favourite.
Around 550 people cast 770 text votes during the two semi-finals, raising £385 for the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal so far.
This week, we are asking readers to send a text to vote for their overall winner, that will be announced in next week’s paper. To see all 10 finalists, pick up a copy of this week’s paper and turn to page 28. Alternatively, click on the link to our E-edition at the top right of this page.
Simply text NDG followed by CUTE followed by the number of the pet you think is the cutest to 80058 before midnight on Monday.
Proceeds of this week’s vote also go to the Northern Devon Healthcare Trust appeal.
Gazette advertising manager Graham Harris said: “We were overwhelmed by the response. It just shows the love people in North Devon have for their pets.
“Thank-you to everyone who has supported the competition in aid if a great cause.”
