Hair today, gone tomorrow for the Ricochet boys

THE Ricochet darts team at the Crealock Arms in Littleham has gone beyond the call of duty one of its members and raised 1,600 for charity in the process.

When Owen Pryor began receiving chemotherapy treatment for cancer, his mates in the Bideford & District Darts League second division team felt they should share some of the side effects with him.

So on Friday night landlord Richard Morgan, Richard Graham, Roger Piper and Kenny Wood all volunteered to have their heads shaved and return a uniform look to the team.

In the process they also raised 1,600 for Cancer Research UK, with money still coming in.

The deed was carried out at the pub by Rogers’s daughters Michelle, Leanne and Lisa Piper, from The Look salon at Appledore.
