Girls are record breakers on the River Avon

KINGSLEY School provided the surprise package at The Evesham Head, one of the rowing season’s premier regattas, which attracts top crews from across the UK to compete on the River Avon.

Unperturbed by a 4am start in the school mini-bus, the Kingsley squad returned with a hatful of top finishes.

Pride of place went to the J18 Girls Quad comprising sixth formers Jessica Myers and Alice Jackson and Year 11 students Freyja Hedinsson and Cat Keenan.

The girls not only beat the home team into second place, but broke the course record doing it.

Alice Jackson completed an outstanding day by also winning the J18 individual event.

Completing the Kingsley successes were Owen Godwin and Will Manners, who finished third in the J18 Double.
