Exhibition will showcase ideas for new planning and conservation guidelines
PROPOSALS for the conservation of Hartland are being aired at a two-day public exhibition starting today (Friday).
Villagers are invited to share their views on the future plans for the area which could affect current conservation and planning guidelines.
The event is being organised by the North Devon Coast AONB, in association with Torridge District Council and Hartland Parish Council. It takes place in the Pavilion from 11am to 7pm today, and from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.
The North Devon AONB wants to raise awareness of the new Landscape Character Assessment for the AONB, which could lead to the development of an Area Design Guide for the Hartland Peninsula Landscape Character Area.
“We are very keen for community input to enable local people to influence and get involved in the future of their landscape and villages within this important part of the AONB,†said Dave Edgcombe, AONB project officer.
“We would like to talk to anyone interested in the parish of Hartland, particularly those interested in its landscape, historic and built environment.â€
