FOUR people have been injured in what is described as a "serious" accident on the North Devon A361 link road near South Molton yesterday afternoon (Monday).

The road at Moortown Cross was closed for a number of hours to enable rescue crews to attend to the casualties.

Fire crews from South Molton, Witheridge and Tiverton released casualties from their vehicles using hydraulic cutting equipment.
