Fire crews tackle airing cupboard blaze
Early morning drama at Stibb Cross
THREE fire appliances from Torrington and Bideford went to a property near Stibb Cross in the early hours of this morning (Monday) following a call reporting smoke inside the home.
On arrival, they found a fire on the first floor of the property. All occupants were accounted for.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a covering jet to deal with the fire, which was confined to the airing cupboard.
Positive pressure ventilation and a thermal imaging camera were also used.
