LEE Faux scored a try hat-trick as Bideford Nomads continued their winning start to the season with a 34-10 victory over Tavistock 3rd XV.

Tavvy borrowed four players off Bideford to make up the numbers. As Tavvy only took 12 men to Totnes for a 2nd XV game, it begs the question are they spreading themselves too thinly?

Tavvy tested Nomads 100 per cent record up to the hour mark, responding to Faux's first try with a penalty and a converted try.

Faux brought the scores level 10-10 at the break with a scintillating burst from half way and nudged Nomads in front early in the second period with his third, adding the conversion.

It stayed close until the closing quarter with Stuart Arnett-Clark, Mitch Barclay and Faux crossing for tries. A Shaun Woodhead conversion rounded off the scoring.

The Nomads travel away again this Saturday to Wessex IIs.
