Father Christmas and his elves head to Braunton

The Braunton Caen Rotary Club sleigh will be touring the village over four nights in December.

THE jingle of bells and the laughter of elves will ring out across Braunton and Chivenor from Monday, December 12 as Father Christmas makes his annual visit to the area.

The Braunton Caen Rotary Club sleigh, together with Santa and numerous Christmas elves - bearing an uncanny resemblance to club members - will be touring different areas throughout the week.

All the money raised will be helping British Heart Foundation’s Heart Start Scheme in Braunton, RMB Chivenor Community Fund and other Rotary Charities.

Each parade starts at 6pm. On Monday it will take in the Saunton Park area, setting off West Meadow Road, going on to Shortacombe Drive, Cavie Road, Pixie Dell, Quantocks, Dune View Road, Homer Crescent, Pixie Lane, Stallards and finishing at Kings Acre.

On Tuesday it will leave Second Field Lane, going through Field Lane, Sings Lane, South Street, Barton Lane, Velator Close, Hart Manor and finish at the Williams Arms.

Thursday starts at Lower Park Road, The Brittons, South Lea, South Park, Hills View, Acland Park and finish Hazel Avenue.

Finally on Friday, Father Christmas will visit the RMB Chivenor married quarters, touring the estate from 6pm.

He and the elves will also be outside Braunton Tesco from 2-4pm on Saturday, December 17.
