WREY Arms sailed into the northern area quarter-finals of the Devon Intermediate County Cup with a straightforward 5-0 win against Hatherleigh on Saturday.

Joe Gillard, Si Larcombe, Tom Cheetham, Jimmy Hill and a bullet header from Rob Folland helped set up a tie with Equalizers, who progressed thanks to an away walk-over against Ashwater.

Barnstaple FC are also through to the next round thanks to a 4-1 win at Anchor Chiefs. Connor Nash scored two, while Tom Nash and Stuart Mckinnon both scored singles. Barum will play Northside Atlantic, who knocked out Folly Gate and Inwardleigh with a 5-2 win.

Chulmleigh will play Bradworthy Reserves in the next round after a 4-1 victory against Clovelly, Stuart Burgess the Clovelly scorer.

In Intermediate One, Lynton & Lynmouth went back to the top of the table with a 4-3 win at home to Braunton Thirds.

Woolacombe & Mortehoe moved up to fourth with a 4-2 win against AFC Anchor.

In Intermediate Two, Hartland Reserves picked up a welcome point at AFC Anchor Reserves. Sean Alger scored the Hartland goal in the 1-1 draw but visitors will be disappointed not to have won the match after having two goals disallowed.

Fremington beat Bratton Fleming Reserves 4-2, Mark Bithell and Chris Nicholls scoring the goals for Bratton.

Chittlehampton Reserves climbed off the foot of the table and dumped opponents North Molton Thirds there with a 3-2 win.
