Close encounters in Intermediate Two

FREMINGTON Reserves came through by the odd goal of five at home to North Molton Thirds.

A 2-0 lead in the opening half proved decisive as they missed chances in the second half, netting only one more while Molton came back with two of their own.

Gary Grant, Dean Waite and James Ley were the Fremington scorers.

Georgeham and Croyde Reserves and Northam Lions Thirds fought out a 1-1 stalemate, Mark Davis netting the Lions’ goal.

Two early goals gave Braunton Fourths the momentum in a 3-1 win at home to Pilton Academicals Reserves.

They were 2-0 up within five minutes, but Claudio Pinto pulled one back for the visitors ten minutes before the break.

Braunton had their keeper sent off in second half, but despite knocking on the door, Pilton were unable score again and ten minutes from time a penalty made the points safe for Braunton.
