Ilfracombe Ladies in the points with five-star performance against Brixham

ILFRACOMBE Ladies picked up their first points of the season with a 5-1 win at home to Brixham Villa in the Westward Developments Devon Women’s League on Sunday.

Hannah Dibble scored twice and there were singles for Donna Adams, Emma Jones and Jade Knott as ‘Combe found their form with a flourish in front of goal.

Villa’s consolation was scored by Kerry Stapleton, who will now miss a number of games due to a broken bone in her foot.

Bideford Ladies also found their shooting boots at the weekend, putting four past bottom side Seaton Town at the Sports Ground.

Tracey Cross scored a hat-trick and there was a single for Lee Cording as the Robins picked up their second win of the season.

The only good news for Seaton was a goal for Jemima Coleman – the club’s first of the campaign.

This Sunday, Ilfracombe are at home to Budleigh Bicton Beacons while Bideford travel to Windmill Ladies.
