Appledore beaten at Ottery

APPLEDORE lost their grip on the South West Peninsula League Division One East top spot on Saturday.

The Fishermen lost 1-0 at home to Ottery St Mary, who have only won seven games from 20 attempts this season.

Geoff Copp’s side slipped to second on goal difference with Liverton United, who drew 2-2 with Stoke Gabril on Saturday.

Appledore are at home to Stoke Gabriel this Saturday.

In the Premier, Witheridge lost 3-2 in a bottom-of-the-table “six-pointer” at Liskeard Athletic.

Withy are away to St Austell at the weekend.

In Division One West, Holsworthy came from behind to draw 2-2 at fellow strugglers Mousehole.

Dean Chidley and Lee Dark scored for the Magpies, who are away to Godolphin Athletic at the weekend.
