Car fire in Barnstaple town centre

Cause of fire being investigated

POLICE and fire officers are investigating the cause of a car fire in a Barnstaple town centre street.

Firefighters were called to an incident in Princess Street at around 8pm last night (Tuesday).

On arrival, a crew from Barnstaple confirmed one private car was well alight.

They extinguished the vehicle using one hose reel jet and made the vehicle safe using small tools.
