HOLLYWOOD movie star Cameron Diaz has revealed she would love to try surfing in North Devon.

The A-lister and keen surfer was speaking this morning (Friday) in an interview on Heart FM, when she was asked if she would like to visit the region and heard how it was one of the top surfing hotspots in the UK.

And it seems the big name star has not ruled out visiting this area at some point in the future: “You know, I grew up in California which has very cold, dark water and so I don’t really enjoy cold water because that was my only ocean when I was a child,” she said.

“Now I like clear, warm water to go surfing in. But I would totally check it out, of course I would! I’d put on a thick wetsuit and I’d give it a go.”

Cameron was talking to Heart to promote her brand new film Bad Teacher which also stars her ex, Justin Timberlake.

North Devon and Croyde has become a bit of a celebrity magnet on the quiet, with Olympic rower and television personality James Cracknell having a home in the area.

Pin up and actress Kelly Brook hit the headlines when spotted enjoying a holiday with friends at Croyde some years ago.
