The water polo section of Barnstaple Swimming Club has had a busy week, with four matches.
The U17s travelled to Teignmouth Lido, and lost by the same 2-9 margin they did at home to the same opposition in March.
The Barnstaple goals came from Conor Heeney and Charlie Elliott.
Barnstaple U19s played Paignton at home the next night, but the visitors were weakened by the absence of two of their best players and Barnstaple finished easy 12-0 winners, with three goals to Pete Bull, two each to Michael Taylor, Charlie Elliott and Haydn Lawson and one each to Haydn Lawson, Sam Wordley and Ollie Guest.
Matt Bull played in goal for both the earlier games, but then came out from the sticks when the U19s travelled to Exeter for the SW Interclubs with a weakened team.
By borrowing from other teams Barnstaple competed well, losing closely to runners up Christchurch 6-5 in their first game before beating Bridport 8-2 then losing 4-5 to undefeated winners Cheltenham.
Fatigue crept in to their final game against Exeter, which they lost 2-7.
On the same day the U15s travelled to central pools Plymouth to play Devonport and ran out 14-2 winners, with five goals from Sam Wordley, three to Will Hutchens, two apiece to Rob Squire and Will Roberts and one to Sam Taylor and Matt Binmore.
