BIDEFORD Nomads came down to earth with a 52-7 bump at Topsham 2nds.
Nomads travelled short handed and had to borrow players when they got to Bonfire Field. The trusty ones who made the journey spent much of the game tackling and putting their bodies on the line.
Darren Palmer scored their only try after good work from Mitch Barclay and Shaun Woodhead added a fine conversion.
To add to their woes Nomads lost Tom Philbeam with a cut eye, finishing the game with 14 players.
Despite the reversal, Nomads look forward to the visit of Torrington 2nds to King George’s Field this Saturday.
