Boomtown Rats are coming to Bideford

The famous Live Aid band hits North Devon on Saturday, January 22

WE know they don’t like Mondays but let’s hope Saturdays are altogether different as the famous Boomtown Rats appear at The Palladium Club in Bideford on January 22.

Almost 25 years since playing at Live Aid alongside Bob Geldof to an audience of billions, Boomtown Rats original members, guitarist Garry Roberts and drummer Simon Crowe have returned to the music scene with their highly rated new band.

Along with Peter Barton on bass plus lead vocals and Darren Beale on guitar, they play all the massive Boomtown Rats hits including Rat Trap, She’s So Modern, Diamond Smiles, Like Clockwork, Someone’s Looking At You, Looking After Number 1, Mary of the 4th Form and many more.

Plus there is a brilliant new version of I Don’t Like Mondays to sink your teeth into.

From the very beginning, Garry and Simon have been the driving force behind the Boomtown Rats sound. They have put their powerful alliance together once again to play their music as it should be heard, with its essential driving rhythms and meaty guitar riffs.

Saturday, January 22 promises a gig not to be missed. Tickets are available in advance, costing 14, from the Palladium Club on (01237) 478860, Solo Records in Barnstaple on (01271) 325274, via or 15 on the door.
