Devon Firewatch Senior County Cup and promotion up for grabs in do-or-die seven days

BARNSTAPLE Town Reserves closed the gap at the top of the Fresha Devon & Exeter League to six points with a 2-1 win against Sidbury United on Monday.

Barum have two games in hand over Division One leaders Morchard Bishop and could cement their second successive promotion with a win at home to third-placed East Budleigh on Saturday.

A big week of football continues for Barnstaple on Tuesday night with the final of the Devon Firewatch Senior County Cup.

Barum face South Devon Football League Division One leaders Loddiswell Athletic, who have already secured promotion to the premier with four games still to play.

Kick-off at Coach Road, Newton Abbot is at 7pm.

Before that, Chulmleigh play Vospers Oak Villa in the final of the Devon Intermediate County Cup Tomorrow night (Thursday). Kick-off at Coach Road is at 7pm.

Oak Villa are undefeated in the league this season and have already been crowned champions of the Plymouth & West Devon Combination League Division Three.

Chulmleigh are currently second in the Fresha Devon & Exeter league but are only nine points behind leaders Topsham Town Thirds and have three games in hand.
