Jackson Passmore is the new Western Counties Junior flyweight champion after defeating Kobe Barnes from Devonport ABC, who had a win over Passmore on his record last season. Â

Passmore set about his work with a fast jab to control the pace and hit Barnes with right-hand counters. More combinations started flowing in the 2nd round as Barnes continuously found himself trapped on the ropes. Â

The North Devon boxer took his momentum into the last to secure the points decision and now joins his club-mate Dylan Burston in the national quarter finals. Â

Billy Butler returned to the ring after a five-year break to box Torbay’s Alex Yolland and, after a slow start, Billy went on the front foot, as some crunching hooks to the body took the wind out of the Torbay boxer. Butler kept up the pressure with tight with hooks and uppercuts to gain a unanimous points win.Â
