COMPLETION of the North Devon Winter Shooting League brought several runners-up placings for Bideford Rifle Club in team and individual competitions and one first place.

Ann Travis took the first place with her fourth successive win in the ladies’ individual competition, with team-mate Mog Thompson in second place.

Bideford A team let their grip on the Division 1 trophy slip, after seven winning years having this time to take second place behind Tiverton A.

There were also runners-up placings for Pete Thomson in the overall individual championship and in the veterans and for Ben Morgan in the juniors, behind Braunton’s Toby Mansfield.

Martin Morgan finished third in the overall championship.
