Center-half Matt gets forward to rescue point for Robins

MATT Bolton scored an 85th minute equaliser for Bideford Reserves in a 2-2 draw at Torridgeside.

Assistant manager Chris Smailes gave the centre-half licence to get forward as the Robins went in search of a point at Donnacroft. And it paid off when he got on the end of Ben Paddon’s cross.

Earlier, Ian Keen had given Bideford a half-time lead before Martin Boundy equalised for Torrie with a header and Harry Taffs scored his first goal for the club from the penalty spot.

“It was a great game and we were much-improved from the previous week,” said Bideford manager Smailes.
