Bideford bowlers move to the top

BIDEFORD Strand A have moved to the top of the North Devon Ladies Triples Bowls League, beating United Services A 6-0 to overhaul previous Division 1 leaders United Services B, who slipped 4-2 away to Torrington.

Two six-pointers take Braunton A to the top of Division 2, five ahead of Bradworthy B.

Holsworthy and Combe Martin continue to dominate Division 3, with Combe closing the gap on the leaders to just two points following their 6-0 success at home to Bideford Strand C.

Two more wins keep Victoria Park B at the top of Division 4, but Barnstaple B have closed the gap to three points with two maximum pointers.
