Bideford and South Molton triple clash

BIDEFORD U10s were defeated 70-50 by a strong South Molton side.

A solid first half was followed by a brilliant second with the scrum and line working well.

Dan Craner and Thomas Picillo both put in outstanding performances.

South Molton U11s also defeated their Bideford counterparts 35-10.

Both teams put in the effort to produce a good game of rugby, which was quick flowing with plenty of tackles.

Try scorers for South Molton were William Wardell, Ed Hussel, Josh Thorne and Emma Sing.

Bideford’s try scorers were Freddie Brimfield and Ryan Sanders.

Joint players of the match were Emma Sing for South Molton and Oscar Groombridge for Bideford.

But Bideford U13s turned the tables, winning a free-flowing game against South Molton 32-5.

Bidefords try scorers were Alfie Constable (2), Noah Stevens (2) and Jack Willes (2) with one conversion by Alex Hannam.

South Molton’s try was scored by Jamie Muir.

Bideford U14s had mixed fortunes in a three-hander at Wiveliscombe.

They played Wiveliscombe first and just lost out 10-7 after conceding a late try. Mike Smith scored the only try with Billy Cockwill converting.

Bideford then played Minehead looking for revenge after losing to them just before Christmas. Bideford dominated the game, winning it 24-5.

Tries fell to birthday boy Hayden Morris, Smith (2) and Cockwill, who also kicked two conversions.
