BARNSTAPLE crushed Bideford by eight wickets in a one-sided North Devon derby at Taw Meadow.

Opener James Ford was the Bideford anchorman with 73 in a total of 147 all out out. Once he was eighth man out, Biddy didn't score another run. Mike Wigley (15) nad James Starkey (13) were the only other batters in double figures.

Lee Cole (4-27 off 11) had a field day with the ball. Jack Popham (3-51) didn't do so badly either. Miserly Steve Moore spun though 13 overs for figures of one for 22.

Barum had the runs chalked off in 32 of the 37 overs available. An opening stand of 112 Between Mike Paine (59) and George McEndoo (50no) made the outcome inevitable.

McEndoo won the match with a boundary to bring up his half-century.FILLEIGH had a point to prove after losing twice on the trot and made it against lowly Woodbury.

Simon Prideaux (73), James Hill (47no) and Godfrey Tucker (47) steered Filleigh to 283 for seven; Ian Hughes (3-45) took the bowling honours for Woodbury.

Woodbury were all out for 147 in reply. James Taverner (64) and James Taylor (23) had the only scores of note as Woodbury slumped to a fourth successive defeat.

Gary Henry (4-29) had Woodbury in a spin, Tom Marsh and Ryan Bowden had two wickets each as Filleigh finished them off.
